The owner of One World Seacans, Conrad Watwood, began his journey in grade 9 when he moved to Golden, BC in 1999. After starting a heavy-duty mechanic's apprenticeship in Calgary in 2005 and earning his red seal, he ventured into the construction industry by purchasing a crane truck and offering crane services in Calgary under the name One World Cranes in 2015. During this time, Conrad discovered a demand for shipping containers among local farmers, who were surprised to learn they could order both 20' and 40' containers on the same rig. Realizing that city life wasn't for him, he moved back to BC after just two years. Following a break during the Covid period to build his dream house, he launched One World Seacans, hoping to stay in Golden indefinitely. Additionally, he has expanded his services to include mobile home moving, making it easier for residents to relocate their homes with the help of shipping containers for sale.
